About the Role
Lyra Health is looking for a senior content writer with exceptional writing skills and a background in SEO, UX/UI, and writing for the web. Our ideal candidate is a prolific writer with expertise in mental health, health care, or health tech. This strategic self-starter has the ability to craft impactful headlines, write persuasive short-form copy, and translate complex research and concepts into engaging, easy-to-understand content.


  • Write compelling, high-quality content aligned to Lyra’s brand strategy and company goals for a variety of audiences (including Lyra members, mental health providers, and HR leaders)
  • Synthesize complex concepts and research into accessible, easy-to-consume content
  • Craft concise, high-impact headlines, teasers, and other short-form content
  • Develop narrative storytelling that seamlessly integrates across our content types and channels, and actively suggest and explore new storytelling methods 
  • Stay current with industry trends and brainstorm and pitch new content ideas
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and cross-functional partners and manage feedback, editing, and approval cycles to meet established deadlines
  • Approach content strategically by focusing on big-picture objectives while executing the details of our editorial calendar and internal style guide with precision
  • Interview internal and external subject matter experts and thought leaders
  • Edit content from other writers and provide feedback
  • Ensure a consistent and compelling voice for the company across multiple formats


  • Degree in communication, English, journalism, marketing, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience writing engaging content in a variety of formats, including short-form web content, thought leadership, video scripts, and product descriptions
  • Prefer experience in mental health, health care, or health tech
  • Solid understanding of best practices for SEO, UX/UI, and writing for web
  • Experience editing content, presenting concepts, and negotiating feedback from multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to research complex subjects and translate findings into engaging, understandable copy
  • Ability to meet strict writing deadlines and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid interview skills, with a proven track record of collaborating with subject matter experts
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with experience using tools such as Asana and Jira
