Customer story
By partnering with Lyra, Inmar increased proactive care to reduce life-threatening mental health crises. “We saw among our own associate base more mental health needs, both preventative and reactive, and the care they were receiving was not really available in a decent radius to the associates’ homes. We’ve even had several life-threatening situations” says Latrina McClinton, senior director of compensation and benefits. “We want to ensure that we proactively manage those needs for our associates and get them the support they need.”
Inmar recognized it was crucial to reduce stigma around accessing mental health care. “We used the data to tell the story on where the trends are,” says Latrina. “Our leaders understand that Inmar associates have to be well to be resilient and productive. Mental health care is an integral part of a well-balanced life.”
“It’s also important to reduce the stigma around mental health issues,” continues Latrina. “By openly discussing and addressing mental health concerns, we can create a more supportive and inclusive workplace and society where it’s more culturally acceptable to seek care.”
Accessible mental health care for the entire spectrum of needs, from mild to severe. “We have had many employees come forward to share their personal experiences with using Lyra,” says Latrina. “They’re so powerful. It’s not just about psychotherapy: you don’t need to be severely depressed to participate in therapy. It is a conversation with someone to help you through those normal life things that can sometimes be very difficult to go through alone. I like to believe that if you take care of the small stuff, it doesn’t become a big thing that can get worse.”
Lyra worked closely with Inmar for a strong launch and a strong continued partnership. “The partnership with Lyra has been key to the successful implementation,” says Latrina. “Working with the customer success team has really helped to keep us engaged and to help give us the tools and resources that we needed to help with utilization. Our monthly meetings and quarterly utilization reviews help keep us informed on the outcomes. All of that has been key and critical for the successful use of this new mental health benefit.”
Here’s what Inmar employees say about Lyra: “After working with my Lyra therapist, I feel less stressed, but I also feel more prepared. I know that I have the tools to be in stressful situations and I know how to deal with those and move on. Having Lyra as an option means a lot to me. Lyra has made care more convenient and has been life changing.”
