We have integrated our wellness mindset into our mission and statement values as a company. Because if our employees aren’t well, the company isn’t well, and we want to make sure that’s also passed along to our customers.

Customer story

Partnering with Lyra means access to comprehensive support. Lyra’s commitment to holistic care was a key differentiator when Phoenix Contact searched for a mental health partner. “What really stood out about Lyra was the multiple ways of looking at mental health,” shared Wanda. “We could address mental health for everybody,” she added, noting that through Lyra, employees can “work with a therapist or a coach, get family therapy, get marital therapy, and also have access to online tools and resources.”

Lyra’s coaching program, in particular, provides Phoenix Contact employees with goal-oriented support to manage the demands of their busy lives. “A coach can help people navigate their mental well-being while trying to also navigate a busy work schedule and home life,” shared Wanda. She added that “the feedback on the coaching has been great. Having somebody not only to talk to, but also to hold people accountable in a good way, helps people set themselves up for success.”

Building a mentally healthy workforce with Lyra. More than a standalone initiative, providing a mental health benefit is a direct reflection of the core values of Phoenix Contact. The company is actively building a culture where mental health is openly discussed and prioritized from the top down. “Leadership is very much on board,” emphasized Wanda. “We have integrated our wellness mindset into our mission and statement values as a company. Because if our employees aren’t well, the company isn’t well, and we want to make sure that’s also passed along to our customers.”

One of the key initiatives for the benefits team has been to share Lyra member stories in the company’s newsletter. “When we send a story out and share it with the employees internally, they learn that if it’s helping a co-worker, it can help them too,” shared Wanda, noting that story-sharing “helps create a ripple effect” that opens up the conversation and de-stigmatizes mental health support.

What Phoenix Contact members are saying about Lyra: “Everyone is going through something and faces personal battles and to face that alone is not healthy. I am in a much better spot today working and already seeing results with the help from my Lyra Health therapist.” —Phoenix Contact Employee

Integrating Lyra into the employee experience. Phoenix Contact employs a robust, multi-channel communication strategy to ensure that all employees can easily access Lyra. In 2025, they partnered with Lyra to launch a three-part email activation series during January and February. This led to the highest number of employee registrations all year, making up nearly half of their total annual sign-ups.

Phoenix Contact also embeds awareness of Lyra into every aspect of their internal employee experience, which includes: education for new hires about Lyra during their onboarding process; company-wide fireside chats with leadership to help de-stigmatize and start the conversation about mental health; and an on-site doctor’s office that promotes Lyra to patients, creating a seamless connection between physical and mental health care.

Lyra is for everyone. “Every single person has mental health, and everyone is going through something,” shared Wanda. “Knowing that you have a mental health benefit to lean on matters.” For Phoenix Contact, the true benchmark for the success of Lyra’s services is the real human impact. By partnering with Lyra, Phoenix Contact ensures that their employees have fast access to high-quality, comprehensive support—including therapy, coaching, self-help resources, and more—so they can get the support they need, whenever they need it. “We care, and we’re doing the best job that we can to support our employees. Even if we can help just one person, I think we can check off the box of success.”
